ARRESTEO PERSONS
vo tbs Korroi. , Sir — The Crown said that a suspected person, if released after a statement, might warn the real culprit. The Crown Prosecutor is an exalted person, and_ should at lca&t know the A B C of logic. If an innocent person should be kept in dufance'on the hypothetical chance of warning, the real culprit, why not ar* fest the newspapers and everyone else in the same position an that innocent person, and oi course^ logically he must be innocent if tho guilty pc?ty>is somebody else. The ways of truth and justice are clear to_ those whose minds are not warped by' tradition, and the tradition of'irresponsible questioning of persons under restraint must go. Enormous wrong has eventuated under the system, and many a time mere villainy has been M-orked under its influence than the -\ illainies it is supposed to prevent. — I am, etc., HENRY BODLEY 10th February, 1915.
