PREVENTION OF CRUELTY
The fortnightly meeting of the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was held last evening. A report on the matter of holding a conference of representatives of kindred societies was received and adopted. The report, which was drawn up by a special sub-committee, recommended' that the conference be held on 30th April. The report also recommended that the various societies be asked to send notices of motion and suggestions for the conference not later than 30th March, the order-paper to be then sent out not later than Z9th March. A special committee is to be elected to make the final arrangements. The following subscriptions were acknowledged j —Mr. M, J. Kilgdur, £1 Is s Mr. A. E.
