It is officially stated that Bardanjoli, dominating Skutari, has been captured. The Montenegrin casualties during the fighting totalled 2500, and the Turkish 4000. THREE ASSAULTS. TERRIBLE STORIES TOLD. HEROIC TURKS. jCETTIN JE, 10th February. There was fighting outside Skutari on Friday night and Saturday. General Martinovitch has reached the wire entanglements round the Turkish entrenchments at Tarabosch. Fighting was resumed along the whole front at sunrise on Sunday. The Montenegrins made three assaults on Bardanjoh with considerable losses on both nides. The assailants maintained their positions. A committee of prominent Turkish ladies and a section, of the Red Crescent have circularised the Europeans Sover--eigns, asking them to remember the law of Christ, and save men's lives and women's honour from shameless hordes, disguised under the shadow of the Cross^ who were committing the ghastliest, outrages and assassinations witnessed in Europe in modern times. GREEK FLEET. IN THE GULF OF SAROS. CONSTANTINOPLE, 10th Feb. The Greek fleet has appeared In the Gulf of Saros. It is rumoured that Servian troops have been landed somewhere in the gulf, in order to join the Bulgarians advancing on Bulair. DEFENDER OF ADRIANOPLE, WHAT HE IS PREPARED TO DO. VIENNaT 10th February. The Constantinople correspondent of the Neve Freie Preese reports that Chukri Pasha, the Commander of Adrianople, sent a wireless message when he heard of the contemplated neutralisation of Adrianople that he would sooner sacrifice his last man than surrender one of the strongest fortresses, in the world. "If further resistance is useless," added Chukri, "I will take care to put the forty thousand Bulgarians living here out of the way. I will confide the women and children to the foreign consuls, and turn the guns on all Bulgarians, and then convert Adrianople irito a gigantic rubbish heap." SHARP E.£OAGEME,NT. BULGARIANS DRIVE THE TURKS BACK. SOFIA, 10th February. . A shfjrp engagement has been fought at Bulair, near the Dandanellee. The Bulgarians drove the Turks back to the forw. The Turks attempted to descend to Chatkeui, near the neck of the Gallipoli Peninsula, whfere the Bulgarians frustrated the landing of twenty shiploads of Turkish troops. The Turks lost fifty killed in attempting to land at Podima, on the Black Sea coast, northeast of Istrandja. The inhabitants of Adrianople are fleeing from one quarter to another, seeking shelter, from the shells. BULGARIA DECEIT. TURKISH COMItfANDERS FOOLED. CONSTANTINOPLE, 10th Feb. A Turkish aeroplane reconnoitred the Bulgarian position at Chataldeja, and tfound that the Bulgarians had deceived the Turks by means of day dummies wearing military- caps, and had retired to Chorltu This has strengthened the belief that the Allies ,&re concentrating ag&i&sk the, Dardanelles.
