The _ Kaiser unexpectedly addressed the University Centenary celebration and delivered a fiery panegyric o.i the German military virtues. He declared that Prussia's renaissance was an act of God. Tho piesent generation was inclined to be materitilisticj and showed less ca< pacity for what was transcendental. They might well learn how to get back to their fathers' faith. God was with the Germans before and was with them now.
