. MIDNIGHT. SUN A STARTER IN AUSTRALIAN CUP. [bi telegraph— press. association.] HASTINGS, This Day. Mr. E. J. Watt contradicts a statement cabled from Melbourne on 4th February, to the effect that Midnight Sun is an unlikely starter in the Australian Cup. He says the horse w^ll be a sure starter, providing nothing is amiss in the meantime. SANGUINARY SCRATCHED. WANGA=NUI, This Day. ' Sanguinary .has been scratched for the Wanganui Flying Handicap.
