OFFENCE UNDER DENTISTS' ACT

CHRISTCHURCH, 7th February. A billhead bearing the words "Dominion Company, W. J. Dawson, Business Manager," with the wood-cut of a set of false teeth, was the basis of a case lately heard in the Magistrate's Court. Dawson being charged with an offence under the Dentists' Act. Mr. Bailey, S.M., held that the billhead implied that Dawson was carrying on the practice of dentistry. A fine of £3 and costs was imposed.
