' An application to the Victorian Government, dated 2tst November, for an assisted passage, states that Knight wa9 brought, up to farm work until manhood, and that ho was then a clerk until 1912, which he spent in poultry farming. The Rev. Cobbett, Knight.' s curate, states that a blank marriage certificate is missing from the church books. Miss Suffell, a friend of Knight's female companion, states that Knight Said he thought the parish would provide for his wife if he was believed to bo dead. (Received February 8, 10,45 a.m.). LONDON, 7th February. Miss Suffell states that long ago Knight told her that ho wanted a separation, but his wife refused. He declared he would commit suicide if Grimes declined to elopo with him, as he could not stand the Btrain any longer.
