NO DANGER FROM GERMAN AGGRESSION BONDS OF EMPIRE SHOULD NOT BE TO6 TIGHTLY DRAWN. By Tel«graph.-Pre*s Association.— Copyright OTTAWA, sth February. Mr. Levi Thomson, member for Qu'Appelle, continued the debate in the Canadian House of Commons yesterday on Mr. Borden's proposal to present three battleships to the Navy. Mr. Thompson said he waa disinclined to believe that the Empire was in any way endangered by German aggression. Germany and Japan had been flirting lately, and therefore the real place for battleships was the Pacific. He ridiculed the idea that the placing of the fleet in the Pacific wa« likely to lead to- separation. If the Empire was ever destroyed ite destruction would be due to the Imperialists and jingoes, for the tighter one drew the bonds of Empire the more likely, they were to break.
