LODGE MEETINGS
• Court Sir William Jervois, A.0.F., held its fortnightly meeting in St. Thomas's Schoolroom, Newtown* C.R. Bro. H. Parker presiding. Two members were added to the roll. Final arrangements were made for the twentyfourth anniversary "social," to be held on tho 18th. The weekly meeting of the Hutt and Petone Lodge of Good Templars was heid in Ranfttrly Hall, Sydney-street, Petone, last night. There was a record attendance of members. Among the visitors present was Bro. Andrews, Grand Chief Templar of the International Order of Good Templars throughout the Dominion. He was officially Teceived and welcomed to the lodge, and then took the chair for the evening. Correspondence from the secretary of the Grand Lodge, in reference to electing a representative of the Hutt and Petone Lodge, was received, and will be dealt with at a later meeting. . It was stated that the newly-elected .Harmony Committee, consisting of Sisters Andrews, Denby, and Job, and Bros. Brown, Taylor, Townsend, and Rose, had drawn up the programme for the coming quarter. The installation of officers for the new quarter then took place, the installing officer being Bro. Andrews, and the installing marshals Sister Ladbrook, S.J.W., of the Phoenix Lodge, and Bro. Trueman. The quarterly reports were acknowledged. Sisters Denby and Millward, aud Bio. J. Rose had the Grand Degree conferred upon them by Bro. Andrews. At the next meeting of the lodge, which will be open night, an address will be delivered by Bro. B. Thomson, entitled "Things Seen and Unseen." A full attendance is requested.
