The House of Lords is considering the Betting Inducements Bill, which will prevent the publication, of tipsters' advertisements, and has passed the measure through Committee.' | Tho Bishop -of Hereford's amendment was rejected. It extended the penalties to anyone writing or printing aiiy betting coupon or list of oddfi. It was stated that 325 large employers in Lancashire and Cheshire favoured the amendment as betting on football matches was interfering with work.
