AiJiJiITNG OF WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. At last night's meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association, Mr. Martin Lnckic presided. The Town Clerk wrote stating that the "resti iction in regard to certain practice wickets on the Basin Reserve had now been removed. The association was requested to, as ,far as possible, make use of al! the wickets and co aveit too much strain on one portion of the ground. Tho letter was referred to the grounds committee. The Petone Club was granted permission to transfer 0. Median, a senior eleven player, to third grade. In regard to the proposed visit to Canterbury, it was decided to forward a telegram to the. Canterbury Association asking if the latter body would accept 14th, 15th, and 17th February— the dates recently proposed by tho Wellington . Association for the match in question. • In rd^ly to an 'applicaion for a match with Wellington at Levin, it was decided to inform the Weraroa Training Farm that no definite arrangements could be made just yet, but that an effort would be made to arrange a game at the latter end of the season. 'The New Zealand Cricket Council forwarded a copy of the resolution recently carried in regard to the proposed visit of an Australian eleven next season. Thb resolution read :-— -"That the Wellington Association be informed that a somewhat similar scheme to that suggested in their letter of 28th February is under consideration by the council, and it hoped that 'within six weeks' time a de* finite announcement might be made as to the result of the present negotiations."
