The transport organisations are planing a strike in the summer, on the ex« piry of the existing agreements. The primary object will be to solve the problem of unemployment before the next wave of industrial depression by means of an all-round reduction of hours. The seamen will claim an increased manning scale on all vessels, and the transport workers ashore will demand an eight-hours day.
