CONSTABLE ATTACKED
• SUFFERS A FRACTURED LEG. (fit TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. Constable Doyle, of Shannon, was badly knocked about on Saturday night, and is now in the hospital. He stated that he went to put a man out of the stables of the Albion Hotel, when the man turned, on him and fiercely assaulted him. The constable had a leg fractured and one eye badly injured. His assailant bolted, and has not yet been arrested.
