There has been a heavy thunderstorm and hurricane at Glen Innes. The rainfall will benefit the crops. During a dust thunderstorm at Armi* dale the telephone wires fused. In one residence the inmates received a shock. Other districts report severe thunder and lightning following the heat wave. BRISBANE, This Day. A cyclone is raging at Cairns, there being terrific wind, fain, and mountainous seats on the coast. Shipping is sheltering. Slight damage has been done to houses. At Port Douglas the young cane crops were affected. ' ADELAIDE, This Day. Cyclone disturbances are reported at Port Darwin, accompanied by heavy
