CATHOLIC FEDERATION'S PROTEST. Th© Dominion Executive of the New Zealand Catholic Federation, at a meeting held in Wellington last night, passed uranimously the following resolution :—: — "That the Dominion Executive of the New Zealand Catholic Federation hereby protests against tho decision of the Wellington Education Board in denying to scholarship winners the option of holding their scholarships at St. Patrick's College, Wellington, and declares such decision to be a manifest injustice not only to such scholarship winners but also to that institution itself for, among others, tho following reasons :—: — "(a) That St. Patrick's College is, as well as other Catholic secondary schools iii the Dominion, quite equal, in efficiency of tuition and equipment, to the State institutions. "(b) That the Canterbury, Westlajid, Tnranaki, and Waftganui Education Doards have decided that such scholarships may be held at the Catholic secondary schools in their respective distiicts."
