MR. TAYLOR CHALLENGED.

GREYMOUTH, 24th April. Mr. William. Thomson addressed a crowded meeting to-night in reply to Mt. T. E. Taylor, M.P. He challenged Mr. Taylor 10 come to Greymouth and he would come from Wellington, the Mayor to preside, Mr. Taylor to appoint one auditor and Mr. Thomson another, and the Mayor to announce to the audience the correctness or otherwise of the figures contained in the now famous thousand pounds challenge. "If," said Mr. Thomson, "I am wrong in my figures I will walk off the platform and never say another word against prohibition. If I am right let Air. Taylor acknowledge it."
