The secretary of the Hawkes' Bay Union asked for a ruling as to the position of his union in regard to players who have taken part in the Northern I Union game. The letter also stated that Northern Union football was gaining ground in Hawkes Bay, and already two senior and one junior clubs had decided to secede from the amateur ranks. It was decided to refer the Hawkes Bay Union to the rule relating to professionalism. The Te Aute College Old Boys applied foi penmission to tour Australia this season. The matter was left for the incoming committee to deal with. The disqualification imposed on W. Grant, a Marlborough player, was removed. The secretary reported that he had written to the Hawkes Bay Union asking for a settlement of the money outstanding on the union's loan. The Hawkes Bay Union, in reply, asked that the matter be allowed to stand over until the annual meeting, when the delegates would explain the position. The request was acceded to. .
