TELEGRAMS. ABUNDANCE OF MONEY.

COMMENT ON BANKING KETTJBKS. [BS TELEGRAPH — SPECIAL TO THE POST.] AUCKLAND, This Day. Commenting on the banking returns for the quarter ended 31st March last, Mr Harold Beauckamp, chairman of director 1 ; of th© Bank of New Zealand, eaid to a Herald reporter last night : — "It is obvious that there is an abundance of money in the Dominion at the present time. This is very largely due to the excellent prices which have been realised for wool and other primary products during the past season. There has bean a slump in the value of butter and frozen meat, but with the falling off in the export of meat within the next few months I have no doubt that prices in the London market will recover. The jubilee meeting of the Bank of New Zealand will be held in June next, when, as chairman of directors I shall deal fully with financial matters as heretofore."
