PROMPT AND VIGOROUS ACTION NECESSARY.
RELIEF FORCE BEING FORMED. REPORTS OF T~SENSATIONAL CHARACTER. PARIS, 22nd April. The Government's existence, is endangered unless prompt and vigorous action is taken to save the French officers, whose position is likened to that of General Gordon at Khartoum. A relief force of 4000 natives, undei French officers, ia at present forming, and is expected to reach Fez on 3rd May, il it meets with no serious opposition.Various reports of a sensational character are being received regarding the position at Fez, and these are naturally increasing the anxiety in France. One- of these reports states that the garrison has fallen, and has been massacred by the victorious enemy.
