The Government's existence, is endangered unless prompt and vigorous action is taken to save the French officers, whose position is likened to that of General Gordon at Khartoum. A relief force of 4000 natives, undei French officers, ia at present forming, and is expected to reach Fez on 3rd May, il it meets with no serious opposition.Various reports of a sensational character are being received regarding the position at Fez, and these are naturally increasing the anxiety in France. One- of these reports states that the garrison has fallen, and has been massacred by the victorious enemy.
