The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tongariro, due at Teneriffe on the 17th inst., arrived to-day. The de. lay in her arrival was due to slight defects in the boilers. A fair amount of reinsurances had been effected prior to the steamer's arrival, at 2 to 7 per cent., closing at 6 per cent.
