There was some talk in the South of Culprit having been purchased by Mr. Lnttrell prior to the decision of the Champagne Stakes. The filly, however/ carried out both her nominations in the ownership of Messrs. W. G. and G. L. Stead, and on the second day of the meeting she was coupled with Aphaea in the Nursery Handicap. Little Huxley's success on Mushroom and other horses will ensute his services being eagerly sought after in future. ' Both the Wootton boys have lately been putting on weight, and their diminutive countryman will no doubt be given excellent opportunities to further distinguish himself.
