Armistice proposals have been received by the Diaz Government from the insurrectos' agents at Washington, and a favourable answer returned. j Apologies have been made to the United States foi* the accidental killing of citizens at Douglas, Arizona, during the recent trans-frontier battle between Federal troops and revolutionaries. The Mexican Cabinet has pointed out that most of the shooting was done by American filibusters, who were aiding the rebels. The rebels have abandoned Aguaprieta in consequence of a shortage of ammunition. Latest statements show that the casualties did not exceed thirty dead and fifty wounded. The Federals have occupied the town. A number of the rebels crossed the frontier and surrendered to the American authorities.
