[BI TBLEGBAPH — SPECIAL TO .THI TOST.] PALMERSTON N., This Day. . • In,-eonnection with' the trouble in the dairy industry- in Taranaki and the position which has arisen owing to the employers refusing to confer with th,e Dairy Workers' Union as to- a- new award unless the .union registers- under the Arbitration Act, -which it 1 declines to 'do, a big meeting of dairy factory employers is to bo held at New Plymouth on 3rd May, when the demands of tho workers will be considered. Four candidates have been nominated for the election of two district representatives- on the .Wellington Harbour Board, namely, M. Cohen, R. S. Abraham, arid H. Haydon, of Palmerston, and F. . G. Cobbe, of Feilding. Nominations for the Borough Council elections total 23.
