At the annual meeting of the Licensed Victuallers' Association, the president declared that the members did not now fear for their existence. Their opponents would never carry reduction, and never carry no-license. The extrejnists had killed themselves by wanting the whole or nothing. He believed the next poll would be the last one. He wanted to show their opponents that the public wanted hotels and wanted good liquor.
