Mr. Hammond, the aeronaut, flew seven miles in ten minutes in a trial flight. Ho was unable to make a public flight owing to the wind. DEATH OF A JUMPER. SYDNEY, 18th April. Skylark, the holder of the long-distance jumping record, won the water jump at the show, and immediately dropped dead. [Skylark, an "old identity," put up some "rattling performances. At the Royal Agricultural Show at Sydney in 1901 he dead-heated with The Angel in the best distance jump^ the pair covering 29ft 3in— a record.] BOWLING IN SYDNEY. SYDNEY, 18th April.
