On the 16th May -the steamer win leave Lyttelton for West of England ports. i THE AMOKURA. The Amolnira passed East Cape at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. As the wind and sea .has now moderated, she ought to be at' Wellington some tame to-morrow evening. NEREHANA FROM LIVERPOOL. The Tyser liner Nerehana arrived in port this morning shortly after 8 o'clock -from Liverpool via Auckland, and berthed at the Taraaaki-street Wharf. Discharge of her Wellington cargo (2293 tons) is expected to be completed by noon on Friday, when she will be despatched to Lyttelton, and thence to Dunedin. Her discharge completed, instead ¦of loading in the Dominion she will proceed to Australia for Homeward loading. The Komata left Westporfc at 1 o'clock this morning lor Wellington. The Arahura left Westport at 10 o'clock last night for Nelson, Picton, and Wellington. Leaving Picton at 5.30 p.m. to-day, the Arahura will arrive at Wellington about 10 o'clock to-night. The Government steamer Hiaemoa is leaving Auckland to-morrow morning in continuation of her periodical northern trip. » Admiralty coal for Sydney will be loaded at Westport by the Kaiapoi, which sails for the Coast to-night. The Wanaka leaves Wellington to-night ior Westport to return with a load of coaL According to Napier flies, the lighter Trusty, which had a hole knocked in her a short tune ago and sank at Port Aburiri, Napier, was Raised to the surface on Saturday. Divers were engaged in patching up the damaged portion of the hull, and with five pumps working the task was eventually completed. The Queen of the South is_at present undergoing general overhaul on the Patent Slip. The steamer Mortlake, of the Watts, Watts Line, London, which paid a visit to New Zealand about two years ago with a cargo of phosphates from Yokohama, has been sold to Japanese buyers. The Tainui is to leave Wellington for Lyttelton on Saturday. Mr. T. R. Young, late second refrigerating engineer of the Kia Ora-, and Mr. Ridley, of the Tainui, have exchanged positions. A cargo of bridge-builcing material is to be brought to Wellington by the Wootton, which leaves Lyttelton to-night. The Kurow is to leave Wellington tomorrow for Kaipara, and loads there for Sydney with timber. The Kaituna, which left Sydney on Thursday for Adelaide and Bunbury is to load jarrah at the latter port for the Dominion. To-morrow the Ennerdale is expected to leave Lyttelton for Greymouth to load timber for Melbourne. The Wairau is due at Wellington on Friday with timber from Karamea. Mr C H Townend has resigned the position of mate of the Kahu . Mr. W. J. Whaite, chief engineer of the Kaupiri, having gone away on holiday leave, the second and third engineers have been promoted a step, while Mr. R. Struthers has joined as third. The Nikau is to undergo annual overhaul on her arrival at Nelson on the 28th April. Mr. Andresen, second mate of the Holmdale, who is away on holiday leave, is being relieved by Mr. McQueen. Due at Wellington on Saturday from Lyttelton, the Ruapehu will leave here on the 27th inst for London.
