YACHT CLUB PICNIC.
The Port Nicholson Yacht Club's picnic at Somes Island yesterday was a complete success, about 300 people attending. The following are the results of the sports: — '■ 100 yds Running Race. — R. Haslam and G. Forbes 1, N. Batchelor and Thompson 2. lOuyds Swimming Race. — B. White 1, Salek 2. Ladies' Running Race.— Miss Haslam 1, Miss Leatham 2. Canoe Race.— S. Rough 1, R. Millman 2. Ladies' Dinghy Race. — Mifs D. Kenny 1, Miss S. Moyes 2. Boys' Sculling Race.— T. Turnbull 1, L. Thompson 2. Thread-the-Needle Race.— Miller 1, Major 2. Cock Fight.— X. Colo and Miller 1, T.
