DUNEDIN, 17th April. The first round of the Australasian draughts championship was concluded to-day. The winners were Boreham, Penman, Brodie, Lucas, and Hilliker. In the second round Boreham won one and lost one to Penman, and one was drawn. Brodie and Lucas played a draw (two games), Hilliker had a bye. In the losers' class (first round), Campbell has one win, Egan one, Erickson one and two draws, and Morris one win.
