KING'S FESTIVAL SPORTS.

The sports meetings in connection with the King's Festival are exciting a good deal of interest. To-night the first heafc of the tug of war will be pulled between Tramway v. Building Workers, and Druids' Association Team v. Cable's Foundry. Tuesday evening: Drivers v. Meat Esport Companj. and Miramar team v. Quarry team. Wednesday : Staples's Brewery team v. Gear Company team, and Lower Hutt v. Pioneers. On Thursday evening the first round will conclude with tho Permanent Artillery -v. Petone, and on Friday evoning a start will bo made with the semi-finals. On Tuesday evening the Marathon race over a ten-milo course will be run.
