THE YACHT RACE.
[BY TSLSGEAPH — SPECIAL 10 THS POST.} OCEAN" BAY, This Day. The yachts Ngaira and Kotiri left Wellington at 1.30 a.m. on Friday and the Rona 2 a.m. The White Heather stuck on the slip. There was a light nor-west wind and rain to Island Bay, then a strong wind and rain squall through the Straits. A heavy rip and a fairly heavy sea was experienced off the South Island, but all came through well. The Rona arrived at 8.56, the Kotiri at 8.58, and the Ngaira at 9.21 a.m. The Ngaira wins~on time, the Kotiri second. There will be a re-handicap for the race home. The weather is dull.
