HOME RULE ALL ROUND.
A WELSH M.P.'S OPINION. ( By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright, (Received April 15, 9 a.m.) LONDON, 14t>h April. Mr. E. T. John, Liberal M.P. fop Derbyshire East, speaking at Mountain Ash, Glamorganshire, suggested that ifi the Welsh and Scottish Parliamentary, parties united in claiming Home Rule for themselves, they would be -entiiledl to equal consideration with the Irish. [Last month The Times, referring toj a deputation which waited on the Prime) Minister from the Scottish Nationalist! Committee, remarked :—lt: — It is very in-, teresting to note the attitude of tho committee, for they, like the Nationals ists of Ireland, claim that a legislative) Parliament should be set up in Scotland, with an executive responsible to it.. They, like the Welsh Party, wish toi strike their bargain, but, although they, would prefer that the Home Rule Bill; should take the form of a Devolutionary Bill for the kingdom, they probably recognise that the Government will not! be able to meet them in this. They, are likely, therefore, to ask that thei, Government, in introducing an' Irish Home Rule Bill, shall spe-^ cifically state that such a measure ia • only an instalment of a comprehensive! system of devolution for the kingdom, and that the contemplated retention oft a reduced Irish representation at West-, minster is put forward as a temporary, and not a permanent arrangement. Tha Scottish Nationalist Committee hope,, that in the year following the introduction of the Irish Home Rule Bill eitber> a Devolution Bill for the kingdom will I ', be introduced, or, if that be not pos« sible, a Scottish Home Rule Bill.]
