' Regarding the alleged financial ancj administrative irregularities in the cash; accountancy departments of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, into which" searching enquiry is now , being held, M. Hammond, Director of tho Account^ Department, has been suspended pencU ing the result of the investigation. It is understood that the alleged ii-i regularities are totally unconnected withj the case against Rouet (a clerk in- the| French Ministry for Foreign Affairs)^ [ who, with Maiinon (a Mohammedan, naturalised in England) and Pallier) (Maimon's secretary), is charged with| stealing French State, documents . and| offering to sell them to other Powers.
