Saturday on city reserves. - The meeting decided to enquire' if if^v/as possible for the club to obtain -_* ground on the Hutt Park. - - A request for ' a ball' was received from Mr. H. .Power ; for -the Maranui School,'* a dozen boys of which institiu•tion were playing Association. 'The secretary was 'instructed '■ to ascertain whether a team ■ was to be- put in the field by the school this season. Subject to certain conditions, the Swifts Club, was granted permission to arrange -a boys' match with either Blenheim or Palmerston on 3rd June or 23rd June. __'~ The St. Anne's Club, which has entered a fourth-class team, was affiliated , to the association. It was reported that, so far, the fol- .. lowing number of teams had been entered, for the different competitions : — JTirst division, 10 ; second, 9 ; third, 8 ; fourth, 11; fifth, 13, -sixth, 8. Mr. Alexander Eeid wrote offering to -donate a gold m&dal to the player attaining the highest goal average in Leagu? competitions;: for the year. It was decided to accept the gift if Mr. Eeid •would undertake to give the medal for competition • for the most improved player. The committee resolved, on Mr. Salmon's initiative, to communicate with the Ofcago and Blenheim Associations, , inviting them to send representative boys' teams to Wellington towards the end of the season."
