SYDNEY'S SHOW.
OPENED BY GOVERNOR-GENERAL. ADDITIONAL AWARDS. By Telegrapn.— Press Association.— Copyricht, SYDNEY, • 12th April. The Governor-General (Lord Dudley) .officially opened the Royal Agricultural Society's show to-day, a large gathering being present. Speaking at the official banquet, Lord Dudley declared that he would go Home firmly convinced of the spl|%rlid future in store for the people of Aii&iralia and of their ability to work out the destiny before them. Lord Chelmsford (the State Governor) referred to the run of splendid seasons, and warned farmers to prepare for the droughts which must inevitably come. Additional awards were maae to-day as follow: — Messrs. Mitchell and O'Brien's Pansy, first prize and champion for heavy Clydesdale mares, and the same owners' New Zealand-bred Flowers' Fancy reserve champion. Mr. Taylor's New Zealand-bred Royal Alexander, first in the three-year-old stallions in the active class. Messrs. Caffrey and Murphy carried off the honours for three-year-old staii lions (breed not stated) with a, New Zealand-bred animal, and the same owners' New Zealand-bred Brilliant Boy topped the list in the Shire stallion, class.
