ASSAULT AND ROBBERY IN THE CITY.
On Monday afternoon a man named ■Jas. Richardson, who arrived at Wellington from Eeilding thai -day, was-as-saulted in Sydney-street between, the hours of 5 and -S^o'-clock, and robbed of £44. Investigations by -the detective force resulted m the arrest last evening by Detectives Cameron and Hammond of a young man named Norman Mancon, alias Williams, who was charged with being implicated in the offence. >• Maneon appeared before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court this morning, and on the application of Chief Detective Broberg, was remanded until •the 19th inst.
