RAILWAY SUPERANNUATION BOARD.
At the quarterly meeting of 'tHe Railway Superannuation Fund Board, Messrs. Young, Veitch, .Wilson, and Lee, tho newly-elected members, were welcomed by the Hon. J. A. Millar, who presid-ed. Ordinary retiring allowances amounting to £1682 11s 5d were granted to sixteen members of the service who are retiring. Among the number were Mr. J. D. Harris, district! manager, Whangarei, and Mr. G. G., Aicken, who was tor seven years station, master al Larabton. Allowances amounting to £419 were granted to eleven widows ' and seventeen childr.cn. Reinstatement of widow's allowance was granted in tho case of one widow as from 13th March, 1905. Refunds of contributions amounting to £2712 6s Bd' were granted in respect of persons who have retired from the service before being entitled to superannuation allowance, and £S8 2s 4d was granted to legal representatives of two beneficiaries who had died before the allowance received from l"he fund equalled the contributions they had made to it.
