MR. H. B. IRVING'S TOUR.
REPERTOIRE FOR AUSTRALASIA. NEW ZEALAND NEXT SUMMER. (From Our Own Correspondent.) LONDON, 3rd March. Mr. H. B. Irving's present pk-ce, "Princess Clementine/ registers its hundredth performance at the Queen's Theatre to-morrow night, and the management is. already deep in its plans for the forthcoming tour oi' Australia Mid New Zealand. The tour ia being undertaken under arrangement with Mr. J. C. Williamson, a-nd tiio probability is that six months will be spent in Australia before crossing the Tasman Sea to spend the summer in New Zealand. The company leaves London by the Orsova on 13th May, ami the tour 3hould open in Melboumo on 24th June. The company will include Mr. H. B. Irving himself and his wife (the talented Miss Dorothea Baird). Mies Helen Rous is the other leading lady, and the leading men are Mr. Frank Tya-rs, who was with Kir Henry Irving until his death, and Iran been with his son since; Air. Henv> "Vibart. Mr. Eric Ma&.on, and Mr. Arthur Whitby — a very strong company. Tho stagex manager, Mr. Tom. Reynolds, sails on 14th April, and will thus l)e in Australia four Veel&j in advance. He will be accompanied bj Mr. S. Arden Godfrey, who will be Mr. Irying's manager * in Australia. Air. Austin Broreton, who was for many years with Sir Henry Irving (whose biography he has contributed io the literature of the stage), and who has since; been manager for Air. H. B. Irving, will remain in London to look after "the letter's interests here, iucluding the erection of the new Irving Theatre. The musical manager for the tour will be Air. J. Heredith Ball, who held that position undsr Sir Henry, and still holds it at the Queen's. The repertoire for the tour will includo the following pieces, some of which were made famous by the actormanager's distinguished father: "The Ist'lb," " Tho Lyons.''* Mail,** " Louis X1.," Sir Henry Irving's version of "Faust" (in which Air. Irving will appear for the first time as Mcahistophcles}.^ " Hamlet." " Di\ .Tekyll a»<l Mr., Hyde." "Princess Clementina, " " Robert Macaire," and Kinsev Pcilo's dramatisation of Kipling's "The Alan Who ,Was.'i
