Mr. E. Galliclian announces his candidature for th« City Council. Mr. James Godber will address the electors at Godber's Melbourne Hall, Cuba-street, this evening. To-night Mr. Meredith, a candidate for the Miramar Mayoralty, will speak an the Tea Rooms, Seatoun. Mr. W. Scott Bedford will address Hhe electors from the Queen's Statue iomorrow at noon. A meeting of tfiose interested in Mr. John Fuller's candidature will be held to-morrow evening. The out-patients' department of the Wellington Hospital will be closed on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday, 14th, 17th, and 18th April, for the Easter holidays. Any urgent eases will be •treated at the Main Hospital. An organ recital will be given in the Town Hall on Good Friday night. An advertisement relating to apple-grow-ing lariU is published in this issue. Messrs. Miller and Rutter announce the Bronte Estate for sale in blocks of 25 acre 3 and upwards, at prices ranging from £8 per acre. The land is situated on the northern slopes of the Moutero Hills, which land, it is declared, is splendid applegrowing land. Arrangements can be mado with Mr. Ilailani, late Government Fruit Expert, on the estate, to prepare the land, plant the trees, and generally supervise them until they come into full pioiit. As a special inducement, the vendors offer a reduction of 10 per cent, discount to the first ten purchasers in the estate.
