The steamer Inveresk, valued at £50,000, was wrecked at Juan De Nova, off East Africa, while on a voyage to New York from Japan. The officers and crew have arrived at Quilimane. The cargo, including steel rails for bridge work, is valued at £100,000. [The Inveresk was a steel screw steamer of 3986 tons gross, built in 1907 by C. Connell and Co., Ltd., Glasgow, and was owned by tho Inver Steamships, Ltd., Liverpool.]
