■ VISIT TO EDINBURGH. , By Telegraph.— Presi Association.— Copyrtgnb, LONDON, 10th April. It is officially announced that the Royal visit to Edinburgh will be from 17th to 21st July. Sir Luke Fildes, R.A., has been commanded to paint the State portrait of the King. [Sir Luke Fildes, born in 1844, was an illustrator of books and magazines for several years ; he afterwards painted English aud Venetian subjects, and, latterly, portraits. In 1902 he was: commissioned to paint a State portrait of King Edward, and in 1905 a State portrait of Queen Alexandra.]
