L-per Mokoia, 6 p.m. The next best despatch for Canada, United States of America, West Indies, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe •will be via Fij ; , Fanning Island, Honolulu, and ' Vancouver, closing at Wellington, per Main 'Trunk train, at 11.15 a.m. on Tuesday, llth inst, Mails for Canada, United States of America, West Indies, United Kingdom, and Continents vof Europe, via Fiji, Fanning Island, Honolulu, -and Vancouver, clote at Auckland, per Navua, on Wednesday, 12th hist., at 9.45 a.m. ' Mails for Australian States and South Africa close at Auckland, per Morea, ou Thursday, 13th inst., at 7.45 p.m. On Good Friday, the Postal Department will be closed in all its blanches. Mails by steam>ers sailing on the above named day will close at 8 p.m. 6n the previous evening. The only despatches by trains on that day will be for the Wairarapa district, which -will close at •C.30 sun., and for Manawatu, Wanganui, Taranaki, Hawkes Bay, and Auckland districts at 6 a.m. There will bo no clearances of the city and suburban receivers, but the night clearance will be made as usual. There will be no deliveries by letter-carriers, but on the previous evening and Saturday evening there will he a delivery over the counter at the Chief Post Office between 8.30 and 9.30 p.m. only for correspondence addressed to the Post Office; and at the Drill-thed between 8.30 and 9.30 p.m. for correspondence which is delivered by letter-carriers. On Good Friday mails are not expected to arrive' from outride the Dominion. On Saturday, Kth inst., letter-carriers will make two fnll deliveries, closing at the Chief Post Oifice ab 7.45 a.m. and 1.45 p.m. On. Easter Monday, the Post Office will be open hi aU -its branches (except the Moneyorder Department) from 9to 1(1 a-m. Mails by steamers sailing on that day will close as 8 a.m. The only despatches by trains will be for the Wairarapa district, which will close at (i.30 a.m.: and those for Uie Manawatu, Wanganui, Taranaki, Hawkes Bay, and Auckland districts, which will close at 8 a.m. There will be no day clearances ot the city and suburban receiver and no deliveries by letter-carriers. All the principal mails by train and steamer close afc Te Aro and Courtenay-place Post Offices at the same hours a* at tiie Chief I'ost Office, with the exception that there is no late-fee clearance. Onless otherwise specified, registered letter* and parcels-post packages must be handed in «nd money orders obtained one hour before the ordinary mail closes. All books aud sample packets and newspapers for places -nlthin the Dominion must be posted half an hour before the ordinary letter mail closes.
