While under the influence of liquor on Fiiday afternoon last a man named Donald Mathiceon tool: a bicycle from outside Hie Royal Oak Hotel and made off with it. Tho police iveie communicated with and an arrest followed. Accused appeared before Mr. W. G. Riddell. S.M., yesterday, and stated that he had been given jJermieion to ride the bicycle by a person whose name he did not know. Ho was returning tho machine when arrested. A fine of 20*s. with witnesses' expenses 12s, wae inflicted. The alternative was seven days' imprisonment. Fashion requires that the form shall be sljjjhlly curved at the waist and over tho hips.
