BEQUEST TO BRITISH MUSEUM. Bj Telegraph .— Pm-ss AsKOcSation.—Copjrifh*. LONDON, 10bh April. Fifty rare and valuable books, selected under the late Mr. Alfred Henry Huth's will from his famous collection, have been added to the British Museum. It is considered to equal the cream of the Cren-ville collection. The fifty books selected include wonderful manuscripts and rare French and German incunabula, or books printed' before ttie year 1500; also a spotless copy of Caxton'e edition of " Diet's end Sayings of Philosophers," and many other treasures. [Mr. Huth was vice-president of the Bibliographical Society, and a writer on several subjects. Be inherited the celebrated Huth Library, which he added to considerably. — Thomas Grenville, born in 1755, and who died at London in 1846, was an English politician (Whig) and diplomatist, but was best known as a book collector. He bequeathed over 20,000 volumes to tho British Museum.]
