It ia officially announced that savage tribesmen at Saduja, Assam, murdered Mr. Noel Williamson, a British political officer, and his party. No special political significance ie attached to the murders. [Eastern Bengal and Assam is a lieu-tenant-governorship constituted in 1905 from those districts of Bengal proper, which Ees east of the Ganges, together with the ,province of Assam. The population is entirely rural.]
