ANNUAL STEAM EXCURSION. rnHE public are respectfully informed X that his Excellency the Governor having courteously placed those delightful and picturesque grounds at LOWRY BAY at the disposal of the Managing Committee of the Odd Fellows' Hall, they have the pleasure to announce that they have made arrangements with the New Zealand Steam Navigation Company for the favourite passenger steamer LADY BIRD, for an EXCURSION on BOXING DAY. The steamer will leave the Queen's Wharf, the first trip, at 8 a.m. sharp ; second trip at 11 a.m. ; third trip, at 3.30 p.m. Mr C. Merritt will provide refreshments on the ground, including tea, coffee, wines, and spirits, ale and porter, ginger beer, lemonade, &c, &c. A first-class Quadrille Band has been engaged for the occasion. Arrangements have been made for disembarking and embarking the excursionists at Lowry Bay. Fares there and back, 3s ¦ Children under 13 years of age, half-price. Tickets may be obtained at Mr. Plimmer's, Barrett's Hotel ; Mr. C. Merritt's, Crown and Anchor ; Messrs. CALEDONIAN GAMES. | NOTICE. • _____ mHE COMMITTEE of MANAGEMENT invite Tenders for RENTING the undermentioned sites, &c, during the continuance of the Caledonian Games, to be held in th c largo paddock in Ghuznee street, adjoining the residence of J. Martin, Esq., on New Years' Day, and probably the day following, according to the following schedule, viz :— SCHEDULE. 1. Renting three sites for Booths, at per site £ 2. Renting one site for Committee Booth , £ 3. Renting site for Grand Stand £ 4. Gate Money, viz., Admission at Is each each person. (Children half-price.) Contractors for items No. 1 and 2 must be subscribers of not less than XI Is towards the General Fund. Contractors for item No. 3, to erect the Grand Stand, conform to specification, and to receive all proceeds accruing therefrom. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. The Committee will provide an efficient Band during the continuance of the games. Tenders, addressed to the Honorary Secretary, will be reoeived at the Mechanics' Institute until TUESDAY, 26th DECEMBER, at 8 p.m. ; and all further particulars may be obtained from JOHN CURTIS, Hon.
