f 1 LENFIiiLD STARCH, exclusively used , VJT in the Royal Laundry. By special an- i pointment, Starch Purveyors to her Royal ' Highness the Princess of Wales. The biisl proofs of the great superiority of this Starch are the numerous distinguished m irks of approval which nave been accorded to it from all quarters ; amongst which may be mentioned the following, via.— It is exclusively used in the Royal Laun- , dry, and her Majesty's laundress says it is, the finest Starch she ever used. Honorable mention was awarded at the Gieat Exhibition in London, in 1851. A prize medal was awarded for it at the New York Exhibition in 1853 ; and a prize medal was also awarded for it at the International Exhibition in London, 1862. Her Majesty's laceMresser says that it is the best she has tried } and hundreds of grocers, &c, say that it pleases their customers better than any other, and perhaps the most striking proof of all is, that not withstanding the great depression in th? cotton manufacturing trade, which influences the Starch trade materially, the Glenfleid Starch has continued to increase rapidly. The manufacturers have every confidence in asserting that if those ladies and laundresses who do not rngularly use this Starch would disregard the advice of interested dealers, who are adowed extra profits on inferior articles, and give it a fair trial, they would then feel satisfied with the very superior finish which it imparts to laces, linens' muslins, &c, the great saving of trouble in its application, and the entire absence of disappointment with the results, and would for tiie future, like the Queen's laundress, use no other. To be had of alKrespectable Grocers, Druggists, Oilmen, &c, &c, and wholesale of the manufacturers, ROBERT WOTHERSPOON 8c CO, Starch Purveyors to her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales ; and manufacturers of Wotherspoon's Victoria Lozenges, which were awarded a prize medal for purity and excellence of quality at the International Exhibition of 1862. 46 Dunlop street, Glasgow ; and 66 Queen street, London, E.C.

CAUTION .— C HLOROD Y^N E , In Chancery. XT was clearly proved before Vice-Chancei-lor Sir W. P. Wood, by affidavits from eminent Hospital Physicians otLundon, that Dr. J. Collis Browne was the discoverer of Cholorodyne ; that they prescribe it largely and mean no other than Dr. Browne's. — See Times, Jan. 12, 1864. The public, therefore are uuutioned against using anv 1 other than Dr. J. Collis Browne's Cholorodine. All pain, vomiting, and distress ceases in a few minutes after taking a dose of that wonderful sedative Anodyne and Anti-hpasmodic remedy discovered by Dr. J. Collis Browne, M. li. C. S. L. (ex- Army Medical Staff), the recipe of which was confined solely to J. T. Davenport, 33, Gieat Russell Street, Bloomsbury Square, London, Pharmaceutical Chemist. '1 he medical testimony of Civil, Hospital and Navnl Practioners,it pronounces invaluable. It relieves pain of any kind, soothe the restlessness of fever, and imparts the most refreshing sleep without pr ducing of leaving any of the unpleasant effects of opium; CAUTION. In consequence of the extraordinary efficacy of thia rem dy, several unprincipled parties have been induced to vend imitations. iSever be tempted to buy Chlorodyne except in sealed bottles, having the Government stamp, with the words, " Dr. J. Colli? : Browne's Chlorodyne" engraved thereon. A sheet full of medicial testimonials accompanies each bottle. Sole manufacturer, J. 'P. Davenport, 33, Great Russell-street, Bloouiabury, London.
