/"1 LENFIKLD STARCH, exclusively used \X in the Royal Laundry. By special appouiiment, Starch Purveyors to her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales. The best proofs of the great superiority of this .Starch are the numerous distinguished marks of approval which i.uvebeen accorded to it from allVuarters 5 amongst which may be mentioned tne following, viz. — It is exclusively used in the Royal Launp dry, and her Majesty's laundress says it ik\ the finest Starch she ever used. Honorable mention was awarded at the Gteut Exhibition in London, in 1851. A prize nieiiui w»» awarded lor it at the New York Exhibition in 1853; and a prize medal was also awarded for it at the International Exhibition in London, 1862. tier Majesty's lace dresser says that it is the bust she \has tried j and hundreds of grocers, &c, saj^that it pleases their customers better than any other, and perhaps the most striking proof of all is, that not withstanding the great depression in the cotton manufacturing trade, which influences the Starch^ftfade * materially, the Glenfield Starch has continued to increase rapidly. The manufacturers haV&every confidence in /Asserting that if those ladies and laundresses who do not regularly use this Starch would disregard the advice of interested dealers, who are allowed extra profits on inferior articles, aDd > give it a fair trial, they would then feel satisfied with the very superior finish which it imparts to laces, linens' muslins, &c, the great saving of trouble in its application, and the entire absence of disappoiutm&ut with the results, and would for the futurey like the Queen's laundress, use no other. ' To be had of all respectable Grocers, Druggists, Oilmen, &c, &c, and wholesale of the manufacturers, KOBEIiT WOTHERSPOON & CO, Starch Purveyors to her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales ; and manufacturers of Wotherspoon's Victoria Lozenges, which were awarded a prize medal for purity and excellence of quality at the International Exhibition of 1862. 46 Dunlop street, Glasgow ; and 66 Queen street, London, E.C.
CAUTION.— CHLORODYAE, In Chancevy. • IT was clearly proved before Vioe-Chaneel-lor Sir W. P. Wood, by affidavits from eminent Hospital Physicians of London, that Dr. J. Collis Browne was the discoverer of Cholorodyne ; that they prescribe it largely and mean no other than Dr. Browne's. — See Times, Jrth. 12, 1864. The public, therefore ure cilutioned against using any other than Dr. J. Collis Browne's Cholorodine. AH pain, vomiting, and distress ceases in a few minutes after taking a dose of that wonderful bedative Anodyne and Anti-Spasmodic remedy discovered by Dr. J. Collis Browne, M. R. C. S. L. (ex- Army Medical Staff), the I^pipe of which was confined solely to .T. T. Drtvenport, 33, Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury Square, London, Pharmaceutical Chemists. The medical testimony of Civil, Hospital and Naval Practioners,it pronounces invaluable. It relieves pain of any kind, 9ootne the restlessness of fever, and imparts the most refreshing sleep without pr ducing of leaving any of the unpleasant effects of opium. CAUTION. In consequence of the extraordinary efficacy of this retnidy, several unprincipled parties ln\ve been induced to vend imitations. Never be tempted to buy Chlorodyne except in sealed bottles, having the Government stamp, with the words, " Dr. •J. Collis Browne's Chlorodyne" engraved thereon. A sheet full of medicial testimonials accompanies each bottle. Sole manufacturer, J. 'P. Davenport, 33, I Great Russell-street, Blumusbury, London.
