TO CONTRACTORS. PROVINCE OF WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND. RECLAMATION OF LAND FROM THE SEA IN WELLINGTON HARBOUR. nHENDERS are required for the RECLAi. MATIoN of a BLOCK of LAND, of about 13 acr s, in the Harbour of Wellington, New Zealand, in continuation of land already reclaimed. The work will consist of a Sea Wall of Block Brick Work for a length of 840 feet, with an average depth of 8 feet ; a Timber Breastwork of 500 feet, with an average depth of about 4 feet ; 100,000 cubic yards or thereabouts of Earthwork 5 Forming and Metalling Streets ; Forming Drains, &c. Plans and Specifications, Forms of Tenders, &c, &c, may be seen at the office of the Provincial Engineer, at Wellington, on and after the Ist November, 1865 ; and copieß can be obtained on and after the 6th November from the Provincial Engineer on the payment of (308) thirty shillings. An Engineer will be in attendance from the Ist to the 6th November to furnish intending contractors with every information, and to go over the site of the proposed works to show the position of the material to be used for filling in, &c. Tenders will be sent in to this office on or before the Ist DAY of DECEMBER, 1865, at NOON. The speedy completion of the work will be a consideration in the acceptance of the tender. For the information of Contractors, it is also notified that Tenders will be called for on or before the Ist of December, 1865, for the Erection of Provincial Government Buildings in the city of Wellington, for which an amount of £6,000 has been voted by the Legislature.
