THE MINISTRY.
Rumours are afloat to the effect that Mr. Stafford has met with little encouragement since undertaking tl c formation of & new Administration. It is stated that Mr. Crnsbie Ward has twice refused to join Mr. Stafford as Colonial Treasurer — that Mr. Dillon Bell has absolutely declined to hare anything to do with the new Cabinet, and that Mr. John Williamson will not accept office. 1 Mr. Domett is spoken of as the future Postmaster- General, Mr. James Williamson as Treasurer, and Mr. Mantfll as Native Minister. There will be no Defence Minister, bat the War Department will be administered by C)loncl Haultain as Adjutant General. 'Jhe offices of Premier and Colonial Secretary v ill bp administered by Mr. Stafford. Such are the most reliable rumours current in the city to-day.
