I ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, , Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby in virtue of the powers vested in me in this behalf, by the " Superintendent's Deputy Act, 1856," of the Gin oral Ass inbly of New Zealand, proclaim and appoint Williasi Waring Taylor, Esq., J.P., of Wellington, to be my Deputy, and as such io perform and exercise all such acts and powers as by the suid Act I am empowered to confer on a Deputy. TO ROAD CONTRACTORS. nn ENDERS are wanted for Constructing a X NEW LINE of ROAD round part of Porirua Bay, in continuation of the present road, and to join the present road near Mr. Bowler's. The plans, specifl -ations, and draft of contract, may be seen at the office of the Provincial Engineer, on and after MONDAY, the 9th OCTOBER. An Assistant Engineer will attend at the Ferry House, Porirua (Bould's), on Thursday, the 12th instant, at 10 a.m., for the purpose of accompanying contractors over the line and exhibiting the plans. sealed tenders will be received at the office of the Provincial Secretary until Monday, the Kith, at noon.
